যা দেখলাম পাত্র বা পাত্রী পক্ষের রিকোয়ার্মেন্ট অনুযায়ী বর্তমানে ঢাকা শহরে বিয়া করতে কিছু স্টান্ডার্ড ‘যোগ্যতা’ থাকা জুরুরী।

কর্মের স্টান্ডার্ডঃ
ডাক্তার-ইঞ্জিনিয়ার পাত্রের মার্কেট সব সময় হট। সরকারী জবে ফার্স্টক্লাস অফিসার হতে হবে। প্রাইভেট জবের মধ্যে ব্যাংকার বা মোবাইল কোম্পানীকে গনায় ধরা হয়, বাকি গুলা কোন জবের ভিত্রে পড়ে না।

প্রবাস বলতে ইউরোপ আম্রিকা অস্ট্রেলিয়া.. মিডিলিস্ট গনার বাহিরে :3

আর ব্যাবসার ক্ষেত্রে ‘বিজনেস ম্যান’ হতে হবে মানে ইন্ডাস্ট্রি, এক্সপোর্ট ইম্পোর্ট ব্যাবসায়ী হতে হবে। এর বাহিরে নিজে নিজে যা কইরা যত টাকাই কামান আপনে ‘দোকানদার’। বিয়ার মার্কেটে ‘দোকানদারী’ কোন কর্মের ভিত্রে পড়ে না :3

মেয়ে কি করে এইটা নরমালী জিগানো হয় না। কিছু করলে খারাপ না, আর না করলে শোকর আলহামদুলিল্লাহ।

পড়াশুনার স্টান্ডার্ডঃ
অবশ্যই ঢাকা ভার্সিটি। এর বাহিরে কনে পক্ষের দয়া হইলে অন্যান্য পাব্লিক ভার্সিটি এলাও করলেও করতে পারে। প্রাইভেটের মধ্যে খুব বেশি হইলে NSU, AIUB, IUB, ব্রাক এদ্দুর পর্যন্ত পড়াশুনা জায়েজ আছে। (সাইন্সের ডিমান্ড সব সময় বেশি তাই আলাদা ভাবে কইলাম না)
বাকি অন্য যেখান থেকেই পড়েন বিয়ার বাজারে আপনে অশিক্ষিত। আর জাতীয় ভার্সিটিতে কেউ পইড়া থাকলে ভূলেও কইতে যাইয়েন না, গুষ্টির শিক্ষার স্টান্ডার্ড লইয়া টান খাইবেন :3

ফ্যামেলি স্টাটাসঃ
পাত্র-পাত্রীর পরিবারে বাপ-মা-ভাই-বোন-মামা-চাচাদের একেক জনেকে ডাক্তার, ইঞ্জিনিয়ার, মেজর, প্রফেসার, ব্যাংকার, সচিব হতে হবে। তা না হলে আপনি ক্লাসলেস ফ্যামেলির।

সম্পত্তির স্টান্ডার্ডঃ
ঢাকায় অবশ্যই বাড়ী থাকতে হবে। আর গাড়ী থাকাটা খুব বেশি ইম্পর্টেন্ট না, তবে থাকলে অন্যদের চেয়ে রেসে আপনি আগায় থাকবেন।
ভাড়াটিয়া পোলাপাইনেগো বিয়ার নাম লইতে নাই :3

কাবিন স্টান্ডার্ডঃ
বর্তমানে কাবিনের স্টান্ডার্ড রেট ১০-১৫ লাখ!! এর নিচে হইলে ইজ্জত থাকে না।
পাত্রী পক্ষের ময় মুরুব্বি যেমনে ’১০-১৫ লাখের নিচে মাইয়া দিমুই’ না কইয়া খুটি গাইড়া বইসা থাকে মাঝে মধ্যে কনফিউসড হইয়া যাই ওয় কি মাইয়ায় বিয়া দিতে চায় না লাখ টাকা বিনিময়ে মাইয়া লিজ দিতে চায়!!??

চেহারা ছুরত স্টান্ডার্ডঃ
মেয়েদের ক্ষেত্রে মেকাপ দিয়া হইলেও তাকে অবশ্যই ফর্সাআআআআআআআ সুন্দ্রী হতে হবে। শ্যামলা বা কালা মাইয়াগো বিয়ার বাজারে পাড়া দেয়া নাজায়েজ :3

ছেলেদের ক্ষেত্রে চেহারা ছুরত ভালো হইতে হবে এমন কোন বাধ্য বাধকতা নাই। পাত্রের চেহারা না টাকায় কথা কয়। উপরের রিকোয়ার্মেন্ট ফুলফিল করতে পারলে ভস্কাইন্না চেহারাও নূরানী দৃষ্টিতে দেখা হয়।

স্বভাব চরিত্র স্টান্ডার্ডঃ
নরমালী ছেলে যত হারামী হোক মেয়েকে পরহেজগার, নামাজী, পর্দানশীল হতে হবে। আর ছেলে যদি উপরের রিকোয়ারমেন্ট ফুলফিল করে তাহলে সে যত বড় টাউডিই হোক তাকে ‘সোনার টুকরা’ ছেলে হিসাবে গণ্য করা হবে। :3

পছন্দ স্টান্ডার্ড:
যেহেতু লাভ মেরিজের ট্রেন্ড চলতেছে তাই বাসা বাড়িতে এখন বিয়ের পাত্র পাত্রী দেখার আগে ছেলে মেয়েকে জিজ্ঞাস করা হয় তার কোন পছন্দ আছে কিনা?
যদি শুনে পছন্দ আছে তাহলে সেই পছন্দের মানুষকে বাদ দিয়ে তামাম দুনিয়ার যে কারো সাথে বিয়ে দিতে গার্জিয়ানেরা বদ্ধপরিকর থাকিবে!! :3

সো ফেব্রুয়ারী মাস আইলেই এইডে, ঐডে এর পিছে টাকা আর সময় নষ্ট করার আগে ভালোমত হিসাব কইরা দেখেন যার পিছে ঘুরতাছেন হের কাছে নিজের মার্কেট ডিমান্ড কত? যতই কন হিসাব কইরা ভালোবাসা যায়না কিন্তু একটা টাইমে দেখবেন ঠিকি ক্যাল্কুলেটার নিয়া হিসাবে বসতে হইছে।

শেষে যাইয়া ‘তুমি অনেক ভালো মানুষ, তুমি আমার চেয়ে অনেক ভালো কাউকে ডিজার্ভ করো’ এই পুরান টেপ রেকর্ডার যেন বাজানির না লাগে -_-

Dear Parents,

The exams of your children are to start soon. I know you are all really anxious for your child to do well.
But, please do remember, amongst the students, who will be sitting for the exams, there is an artist, who doesn't need to understand Maths.
There is an entrepreneur, who doesn't care about History or English literature.
There's a musician, whose Chemistry marks won't matter.

There's a sportsperson, whose physical fitness is more important than Physics..
If your child does get top marks, that's great! But, if he or she doesn't, please don't take away their self-confidence and dignity from them.
Tell them it's OK, it's just an exam! They are cut out for much bigger things in life.
Tell them, no matter what they score, you love them and will not judge them.

Please do this, and when you do, watch your children conquer the world. One exam or a low mark won't take away their dreams and talent.
And please, do not think that doctors and engineers are the only happy people in the world.

8 Things You Should Know About Fazlur Khan, Skyscraper Genius

1. Khan was the lead structural engineer on two of the tallest skyscrapers of the 1970s, both found inChicago: the John Hancock Center (1969) and the Sears Tower (1973, now known as the Willis Tower)
2. He didn’t see his first skyscraper in person until he was 21 years old. Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the tallest building in his hometown measured only 3 stories.
3. Khan was the first to discover that building a skyscraper in the the shape of a tube could greatly reduce material size and weight. His buildings were supported not by an inner grid of concrete and steel, like the Empire State Building, but by their facades.
4. For the Hancock Center design, Khan introduced SOM to computer modeling techniques for the first time, hiring two programming experts to calculate difficult equations in record time. The engineers left soon after to work on another revolutionary project, Star Wars.
5. To understand how wind and building sway would affect users in the upper floors of his skyscrapers, Khan placed test subjects into a bathtub placed on top of rotating platform designed to mimic the oscillating motion of a Maytag washing machine.
6. His strategy for visualizing structural diagrams bore a striking similarity to method acting: “I put myself in the place of a whole building, feeling every part,” Khan said in an interview with Engineering News-Record. “In my mind I visualize the stresses and twisting a building undergoes.”
7. Khan died of a heart attack in 1982, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where today, construction is underway on the Kingdom Tower, which will become the world’s tallest building upon its completion in 2020.
8. Founded in 2004, The Fazlur Khan Lifetime Achievement Medal is awarded by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat for individuals who have “demonstrated excellence in technical design and/or research that has made a significant contribution to a discipline for the design of tall buildings and the built urban environment” throughout their careers.

Rich or Poor

One day, a rich dad took his son on a trip to a village. He wanted to show him how poor somebody could be. They spent time on the farm of a poor family. 

The dad asked, “Did you see how poor they are? What did you learn?”

The son replied, “We have one dog, they have four. We have a pool, they have a river. We have lanterns at night, they have stars. We buy our food, they grow theirs. We have walls to protect us, they have friends. We have encyclopedias, they have the Bible.”
